Be Like the Bulldog!

“Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment.” Mark 5:25-27

A reason we don’t see answers to prayer is because we give up too soon. I think of the word “tenacity”. It means to stick with it, no matter what. You’ve heard the phrase, “bulldog tenacity”? It describes how a bulldog will grab onto something and not let go until he has been satisfied.

The woman with the issue of blood had this kind of persistence. She had been to doctor after doctor for years; she spent all of her money in search for her answer. She didn’t have any natural hope left – man had failed her. Everything in the natural realm told her it was no use and that she should just give up.

But, she tried one more time when she saw Jesus come to town. She reached out, touched Him and was healed! What if she had given up? How sad that would have been.

Be like the bulldog! Hold on tight until you are satisfied!
